Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Wireman/Journeyman Electrician specializing in residential generator installation. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems related to residential backup power solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in electrical wiring, system diagnostics, and adherence to safety standards to ensure reliable generator performance for homeowners. Responsibilities

  • Install, connect, and test residential generators, ensuring compliance with local electrical codes and NFPA 70 standards (National Electrical Code).
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to execute precise wiring layouts.
  • Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on generator systems and associated electrical components.
  • Conduct high-voltage wiring work safely, adhering to electrical safety procedures at all times.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose system faults and perform repairs efficiently.
  • Ensure all work meets NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements and local regulations for residential electrical installations.
  • Collaborate with team members on renovation projects or new construction sites involving electrical wiring and system upgrades.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a residential electrician with a focus on residential generator systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, low voltage wiring, and high-voltage electrical wiring practices.
  • Skilled in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading for accurate installation.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code) standards for safe electrical installations.
  • Excellent understanding of local electrical codes, NEC standards, and safety procedures for electrical work.

Must Haves:

*Current Texas Wireman/Journeyman license

*Valid and current Texas DL

*Reliable transportation to work (company vehicle used during work)

*Must be able to pass a drug test

*Clean criminal and driving record

*MUST HAVE A TEAM PLAYER ATTITUDE AND BE RELIABLE
