Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' physical needs to develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to patients across relevant age groups and diagnoses
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, and caregivers
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to patient-centered goal setting
Requirements:
- Active New York State Occupational Therapist license (OT/OTR)
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- NBCOT certification required or eligible
- Experience in adult rehabilitative OT settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of sensory integration, ADLs, and therapeutic interventions
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach with a commitment to quality care
