About the Role

AC Hydraulics is looking for an experienced Hydraulics Mechanic to join our team as a Mobile Service Technician. You'll drive our company shop van directly to customer job sites — construction sites, fleet yards, agricultural operations, marine facilities, and industrial plants — to diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, hoses, and components on-site.

This is a hands-on mechanic role first and foremost. But because you're the face of AC Hydraulics at every job site, you're also in the best position to spot new business — new equipment that needs work, other departments or sites that could use our services, and referrals to other companies. We want a technician who does great work and keeps an eye open for opportunities to bring more business back to the shop.

What You'll Do

• Drive a company-equipped service van to customer job sites throughout the Daytona Beach / Volusia County area
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, hoses, fittings, cylinders, and related components on-site
• Fabricate and install replacement hoses and assemblies using mobile crimping equipment
• Keep the van stocked, organized, and in good working order
• Provide accurate quotes and complete paperwork for each job
• Build good working relationships with customers and site contacts
• Flag new business opportunities you come across in the field — additional equipment, new accounts, repeat work — and pass leads back to the shop
• Represent AC Hydraulics professionally and safely on every job site

What We're Looking For

• Solid hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, hoses, fittings, and assemblies
• Comfortable working independently in the field with minimal supervision
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills
• Personable and professional with customers — you're representing the shop
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift/handle hose reels and equipment, and work in outdoor/job-site conditions

Compensation

• Base pay: $23–$27/hour, based on experience — reflects current Florida market rates for experienced hydraulic hose/service technicians
• Business development bonus: 2–3% on new business you generate (new accounts or add-on work you bring in), paid monthly
• Company van, fuel card, and tools/equipment provided
• Realistic total compensation for an experienced mechanic who also brings in business: $52,000–$65,000+/year
