Manufacturing Technician

Jetta Corporation is looking for a dependable, safety-minded Manufacturing Technician – Vacuum Forming Operator to join our production team. In this hands-on manufacturing position, you will operate vacuum forming equipment to accurately transform acrylic sheets into tub shells, including setting up and changing molds.

We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, pays close attention to quality and safety, and enjoys working as part of a production team.

What You'll Do

• Inspect molds for damage before setup, make repairs as needed, and report damage to your supervisor.
• Inspect acrylic materials prior to forming.
• Load and operate vacuum forming equipment and make necessary frame adjustments.
• Attach acrylic sheets to the vacuum former frame.
• Monitor equipment throughout the forming process to ensure proper operation.
• Route completed tub shells to the Fiberglass area.
• Prepare inventory tags and inventory reduction sheets.
• Perform required and routine equipment maintenance.
• Follow all work-area safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Operate a forklift in close quarters and demanding situations.
• Maintain dependable attendance and meet established schedules.
• Cross-train and assist in other production areas as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Ability to read and understand job tickets.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of people.
• Working knowledge of machinery, machine settings, and proper frame tolerances.
• Working knowledge of tub sizes and appropriate materials.
• Basic ability to use a circular saw and various clamps.
• Ability to operate a forklift.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position works in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment and may be regularly exposed to extreme hot and cold temperatures. Protective eyewear is required, and chemical odors and dust may be present.

The position requires standing for long periods, frequent repetitive motion, and frequent lifting of approximately 40–60 lbs. for short periods of time. Employees must also be able to push, pull, reach, walk, bend, and work in positions over and under machinery.
