Biomedical Equipment Technician I
Location: On-site | Indianapolis, IN
Shift:1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm
Pay: $25/hr
Summary:
Support the maintenance and repair of tissue staining analyzers. Leverage strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and routine testing. Training on calibration, documentation, and key processes will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on tissue staining analyzers and related equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hardware, or basic systems issues using procedures, diagrams, and reference manuals
- Execute testing, measuring, and component adjustments as needed
- Document work via Google Docs/Sheets and other company systems
- Collaborate with peers and field techs, primarily without direct client contact
Preferred Backgrounds:
- Military technician, automotive, HVAC, or aviation experience
- Proficient with hand tools, voltmeters, pressure gauges, and interpreting technical diagrams
- Comfortable using Windows 10/11; familiarity with digital documentation
Qualifications:
- Associate degree OR high school diploma/GED with 3–5 years’ relevant hands-on technical experience
- Strong mechanical skills are essential; industry-specific (pharma) experience not required
Additional Details:
Laptop and mobile phone will be provided.
No prior calibration experience needed—comprehensive on-the-job training available.
