Attorney/Lawyer

We are looking for an experienced Attorney to join an in-house team in Alpharetta. This opportunity is best suited for someone with start to finish litigation experience working in a law firm, or in-house department.

Responsibilities:

• Manage defense litigation matters from initiation through trial preparation, developing case strategies that support effective outcomes.

• Prepare and revise legal documents such as pleadings, motions, responses, and related filings with accuracy and attention to deadlines.

• Conduct legal research and apply Georgia statutes, procedural rules, and case law to active matters.

• Review medical records in detail, build clear medical timelines, and identify issues involving prior injuries or pre-existing conditions.

• Coordinate with attorneys, legal support staff, and other stakeholders to keep cases moving forward efficiently and on schedule.

• Maintain organized case files and track litigation activity within the designated case management system.

• Support witness and trial preparation efforts, including factual development, document review, and readiness planning for hearings and trial proceeding

• Active Georgia bar license required.

• 1–3 years of litigation experience in a defense-focused legal environment.

• Background in insurance defense is preferred; experience in personal injury defense or workers’ compensation defense is also valued.

• Working knowledge of Georgia court procedures, trial practice, and filing requirements.

• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage priorities independently in a remote or hybrid work setting.

• Proficiency in organizing case materials and maintaining accurate records in a legal case management platform.
