Overview
We're seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to support a major industrial construction project on Alaska's North Slope. This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules while working closely with project managers, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
Schedule & Travel
- 2 weeks on-site, 2 weeks off
- 12-hour workdays while on rotation
- Paid only for weeks worked
- Travel begins when arriving in Anchorage and traveling to the North Slope
- Travel from home to Anchorage is not paid
- Travel time may be billed separately at straight time
- Candidates can live anywhere but must be able to travel as required
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6
- Track project progress and provide schedule updates to project teams and stakeholders
- Analyze schedule delays, impacts, and potential risks
- Facilitate planning and scheduling sessions with project leaders and field teams
- Perform site walks and validate actual construction progress
- Support project forecasting and planning efforts
- Assist project management with short-term and long-term schedule planning
- Communicate schedule changes, recovery plans, and critical path impacts
What We're Looking For
- 8-10+ years of dedicated scheduling experience in industrial construction
- Strong experience scheduling direct-hire trades and subcontractors
- Experience within one or more of the following industries:
- Oil & Gas
- Power Generation
- Chemical Processing
- Data Centers
- Heavy Industrial Construction
- Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6
- Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents
- Experience with cost forecasting, productivity analysis, and quantity takeoffs
- Strong communication skills and ability to present schedule information to clients and project leadership
Preferred Experience
- Experience working for major EPC contractors such as Kiewit, Zachry, Fluor, or similar organizations
- Experience supporting remote camp-based construction projects
- Experience with 3D/4D scheduling tools
- Background in large industrial construction projects rather than renewable energy projects
