Cost Accountant
Location: St. Louis, MO (Fully Onsite)
Pay: $35.00–$46.00/hour
Job Type: Temporary (Potential for Permanent Hire)

We're seeking a Cost Accountant to join a global manufacturing organization in St. Louis, MO. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing accounting professional to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare plant financial budgets and forecasts
- Perform monthly close activities and variance analysis
- Develop and maintain product cost standards
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations
- Monitor plant cost performance and issue monthly KPI reporting
- Ensure consistency in cost expense categorization across manufacturing plants
- Support internal and external audits
- Assist with SOX compliance and internal controls
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of cost accounting experience
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP experience
- SOX compliance or audit experience
