Job Title: Field Service Technician

Job Description

As a Field Service Technician, you will travel to customer locations to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair specialized medical equipment. Your role is vital in ensuring the seamless operation of Maternal Infant Care products, including Fetal monitors and Giraffe OmniBeds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installations, FMI- Field Modification (recalls), and upgrades on medical equipment within a hospital setting
  • Conduct calibration, testing, and performance verification.
  • Install and configure new equipment and system upgrades.
  • Complete software updates and warranty repairs on Maternal Infant Care products.
  • Manage work orders and document service activities using ServiceMax.
  • Follow dispatch team leads to complete service visits, including FMIs and installations.
  • Provide professional on-site support to healthcare clients.
  • Traveling locally (200-300 miles of home) roughly 75-90% of the time

  • Comfort working independently in field environments.
  • Willingness to travel 100% by air or via vehicles.
  • Option 1: High School Diploma or equivalent with 2–4 years of technical, mechanical, or field service experience.
  • Option 2: Associate degree or technical/trade school certification with 1+ year of technical experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance.
  • Ability to operate personal or rental vehicles.

Work Environment

The schedule is Monday to Friday during the day shift, with no set hours but full-time guaranteed. Start work between 6 am or 7 am and work through completion. Travel is extensive, with the possibility of being away 2 weeks each month. This hands-on field service role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and equipment handling, using diagnostic and small hand tools. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and move equipment up to 125 lbs, with regional day and overnight travel.

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $60320.00/yr.
