Job Description

The Data Entry Clerk plays a key role in supporting order processing, customer communication, and accurate data maintenance for a medical device organization focused on biologic products that help the body heal. In this 6‑month contract role, you help connect with internal teams, move orders efficiently through the system, and ensure data is entered and validated with a high level of accuracy. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-moving environment, contribute to meaningful patient-impact work, and potentially grow into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage a shared customer service inbox on a daily basis to ensure timely response and processing of incoming requests.
  • Review incoming customer orders, download and organize order documents, and assign order numbers according to established procedures.
  • Accurately enter detailed order information into the ERP system, ensuring all fields are complete and correct.
  • Retrieve product information and coordinate order fulfillment through the shipping system to ensure orders are processed and shipped as requested.
  • Carefully review, verify, and validate all order entries before finalizing to maintain data integrity and minimize errors.
  • Prepare and package orders, including generating, printing, and applying shipping labels and ensuring proper documentation accompanies each shipment.
  • Process customer-submitted usage forms, route them appropriately for billing, and support billing-related activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, when order transfers, billing adjustments, or account changes are required.
  • Handle customer email communications related to usage forms, shipping, and billing, ensuring clear and professional responses.
  • Provide general administrative support related to order processing, documentation, and record keeping.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service, data entry, or light accounting.
  • Order processing experience, including handling incoming orders and moving them through fulfillment, is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as a natural learner who can quickly understand new processes and systems.

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite position in a small, close‑knit team environment, Monday through Friday. The standard schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break. You work in an office setting using Microsoft Office tools, email, and an ERP system to manage orders and data. The role is a contract through the end of the year, with a strong possibility of being hired on permanently based on performance and business needs. Typical attire is standard professional office wear suitable for an onsite business environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Plymouth, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
