Staff Accountant - Healthcare Accounting | Excellent Pay + Benefits

Saint Francis Health is seeking a Staff Accountant to support its financial operations in Tulsa, OK. This role involves recording financial activity, performing reconciliations, preparing financial statements, maintaining capital budget information, and assisting with financial reporting and special projects. The ideal candidate should have 3–4 years of related accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare managers, directors, and staff.

Position Type: Direct Hire / Full-Time / Permanent
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Work Setting: On-site

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations accurately and on time
• Investigate and resolve account discrepancies
• Reconcile and report unclaimed property for the Health System
• Maintain the capital budget database
• Establish and close projects within the project management system
• Collaborate with managers on capital projects and available budget funds
• Prepare capital acquisition reports for the capital planning committee
• Generate ad-hoc financial reports as needed
• Record monthly financial transactions; prepare financial statements
• Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts against budget
• Assist with budget preparation and audits
• Support cash and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with intercompany payments, equity entries, and records retention
• Participate in special accounting and financial projects
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers by phone and in person
• Work closely with healthcare professionals, managers, and directors

Required Qualifications

• 3–4 years of related accounting experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and spreadsheet development
• Experience with financial/accounting software
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
• Ability to analyze financial information and resolve discrepancies

Starting Salary: $56,513.60/year (Based on Experience)
