Key Responsibilities- Follow the Nurse Practice Act for licensure and adhere to established procedures, policies, and protocols.
- Provide routine pediatric care and administer medical procedures and drug treatments in school-based community clinics.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and Director of School-Based Clinics to assess and improve client services.
- Engage in ongoing clinic development and implementation alongside the team.
- Document client care accurately and promptly.
- Assess, treat, and provide medical services to clinic clients, including telephone consultations and triaging.
- Assist other providers during clinic expansion as needed.
- Participate in on-call duties and ensure follow-up on lab and testing results.
- Consult with physicians on complex cases and provide patient education on health maintenance.
- Participate in the interdisciplinary team (IDT) and Performance Improvement Program.
- Conduct audits, partake in quality assurance programs, and keep up-to-date with field knowledge.
- Prepare reports on patient care activities and provide primary clinical therapy.
- Operate equipment safely and perform procedures as instructed.
- Current license from the Texas Board of Nursing and completion of program at an accredited school OR graduated from an accredited program as Physician Assistant with current Texas state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Must be able to use electronic medical record with proficiency
- Ideal candidate is independent, enthusiastic and highly motivated.
- Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize.
- 2-5 yrs experience is preferred.
- School-based (SBH) clinic experience is highly desired.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
