ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION

Established in 1970, Boley Centers, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization serving individuals with mental disabilities, individuals and families who are homeless, Veterans and youth in Pinellas County.

Boley Centers, Inc., a nationally recognized and accredited behavioral health care agency, has an opening for a full-time Adult Day Program Mental Health Group Leader to provide structured activities, in a supportive and constructive environment, for consumers to help enhance social and living skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify high-risk situations and follow escalation protocols
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure safe admissions.
  • Provide trauma-informed responses during crisis calls.
  • Create and implement group curricula aligned with treatment plans and program goals, maintain a safe, respectful and therapeutic group environment, encourage participant engagement, peer support and empowerment and provide respectful, trauma-informed and culturally sensitive interactions with clients.
  • Maintain supportive and engaging environment in group activities to encourage client participation and skills acquisition.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with clients, families and staff about schedules, activities, and progress while ensuring client confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
  • Document group attendance, progress notes, DLA-20 assessments, PHQ-9 assessments, Columbia CSSRS assessment, treatment plans per agency policy and in accordance with Medicaid Community Health regulations, maintain compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and accreditation standards (e.g., CARF).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree required in psychology, social work, human services, or a related field. Education must be from an accredited school, college, or university. CAP licensure preferred.
  • At least one year of human services experience working with individuals with serious mental illness or co-occurring disorders.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Valid Florida driver's license, auto insurance and own transportation vehicle required.

Must pass a Level 2 background check and drug screen.
