Office Manager (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Fernley, NV
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, mature, and proactive Office Manager to join a growing construction-related company in Fernley, Nevada. This individual will report directly to ownership and play a key role in supporting daily office operations, accounting functions, and administrative processes.

The ideal candidate is a grounded professional who takes initiative, stays ahead of tasks, maintains confidentiality, and can effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Office Administration

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations and administrative functions

  • Answer and manage multi-line phone systems professionally

  • Coordinate communication between office staff, vendors, customers, and ownership

  • Maintain organized files, records, and confidential company information

  • Manage office supplies, scheduling, and general office support activities

  • Assist ownership with special projects and administrative needs

Accounting & Financial Support

  • Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions

  • Enter and maintain financial data accurately

  • Process invoices, payments, and account records

  • Support bookkeeping and accounting activities

  • Assist with payroll-related administrative functions

  • Maintain accurate documentation and financial records

  • Work within QuickBooks to support accounting operations

Logistics & Operations Support

  • Coordinate and track operational documentation

  • Support project-related administrative needs

  • Assist with scheduling and logistics coordination as needed

  • Maintain organized records and ensure timely follow-up on tasks and deadlines

Qualifications

Required

  • Previous office management, administrative, or office coordinator experience

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience working with multi-line phone systems

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Preferred

  • Construction industry experience

  • QuickBooks experience

  • Accounting experience including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

  • Logistics or operations experience

  • Bookkeeping experience

Work Environment

  • Office environment supporting a team of approximately 26 employees

  • Collaborative team atmosphere with direct interaction with ownership

  • Fast-paced environment requiring strong prioritization and follow-through

  • Confidential handling of company and employee information is required

Screening Requirements

  • Background check required

  • Pre-employment and random drug testing required

  • 10-panel drug screening, including marijuana
