Job Description
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to adult patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The physician will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of cardiovascular diseases while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical judgment, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to improving cardiovascular health through prevention, early intervention, and comprehensive disease management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with cardiovascular diseases, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, hypertension, and peripheral vascular disease.
- Perform comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including history and physical examinations.
- Interpret diagnostic studies including ECGs, Holter monitors, stress testing, echocardiograms, and cardiac imaging.
- Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based clinical guidelines.
- Manage both acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
- Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient specialty clinic services.
- Coordinate care with primary care physicians, hospitalists, emergency physicians, surgeons, and other specialists.
- Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures.
- Educate patients and families regarding cardiovascular disease prevention, medications, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review activities, and multidisciplinary case conferences.
- Maintain compliance with applicable clinical, regulatory, and professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency.
- Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
- Current, unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in California.
- Current DEA registration.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of clinical cardiology experience.
- Experience managing complex cardiovascular disease in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Experience interpreting echocardiography, stress testing, and ambulatory cardiac monitoring.
- Additional expertise in heart failure management, preventive cardiology, cardiac imaging, or structural heart disease is preferred.
- Strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and quality improvement.

- Expertise in cardiovascular diagnostics and interpretation of cardiac testing.
