Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is partnering with a highly respected South Florida law firm to identify an experienced Estate Planning Paralegal. This is an outstanding opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional to join a sophisticated trusts and estates practice supporting attorneys in estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to provide high-level client service while managing multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare surrogates, living wills, and related documents under attorney supervision.
- Assist with trust administration matters, including asset inventories, trust funding, accountings, distributions, and beneficiary communications.
- Prepare and manage probate filings and coordinate with courts, financial institutions, government agencies, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries.
- Conduct legal and factual research related to estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters.
- Maintain and organize client files, calendars, deadlines, and case management systems.
- Prepare and file pleadings, petitions, inventories, accountings, and other probate-related documents.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, beneficiaries, financial advisors, accountants, and third parties.
- Assist attorneys with client meetings, estate planning signings, probate proceedings, and trust administration matters.
- Track critical deadlines and ensure timely completion of all filings and client deliverables.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal handling estate planning, trust administration, and/or probate matters.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.
- Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Florida probate, trust administration, and estate planning procedures.
- Experience preparing and filing court documents and working directly with clients.
- Proficiency with legal research platforms, document management systems, and estate planning software.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff.
- Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) designation is a plus.
- Standard schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- 37.5-hour workweek
- No regular overtime expected.
- Potential for a flexible or hybrid work arrangement after six months of employment, subject to firm policy and practice group needs.
- Annual billable requirement: 1,600 hours.
