Job SummaryThe Karol Hotel is a boutique hotel located in the Feather Sound area of Clearwater Florida, convenient to the beaches, St Pete, and Tampa. The Karol features 123 rooms and suites, and features Katch Restaurant and Vantage Rooftop Bar, along with ballrooms and conference rooms to host events. The Karol Hotel is part of Marriott's Tribute Portfolio.The Night Auditor covers the overnight shift and closes all reporting functions for the day. The Night Auditor serves as the main point of contact for guests during the overnight hours to ensure an exceptional personalized service to all guests that is consistent with Marriott's Tribute Portfolio standards.Essential FunctionsFollow all specified procedures to audit the shift closing of all front office staff, including personally closing shift three and completing an audit summary for each shiftProduce accurate and timely reports and correctly handle all cash transactionsProvide relief support to hotel PBX operator during shiftFollow all specified procedures to maintain and post a daily balance of all house accounts, including running preliminary reconciliations, detail transactions, and final reports to accounting and profit centersFollow all specified procedures to reconcile cashier's reports with the restaurant system each night, researching and posting any unresolved tickets from the day shiftsBalance and audit room revenue, food and beverage revenue, cashiers' reports, and guest and house accounts for accuracy; assisting the preparation of all reports relevant to daily revenuesEnsure all banquet revenue is posted and receipts submitted to accounting for reviewTransmit credit card batchesComplete and transmit daily management and accounting reports and supporting documentsAct as hotel system liaison during night hoursPerform all Guest Service Representative functions as required; may assist in booking room reservations, answering hotel phone calls, and notifying guests of messagesProvide warm, friendly hospitality to guestsAccurate cash handlingQualification StandardsEducation & ExperienceHigh School diploma or higherPrevious hospitality or administrative experience preferredExcellent customer service skillsExcellent computer/technology skills, ability to learn new softwarePhysical and Mental DemandsAbility to sit or stand for extended periods of timeAbility to communicate clearlyWork on multiple tasks, making appropriate progress towards deadlinesAble to work independently, take direction, and provide direction to othersManage differing personalities within the office, the hotel, and the communityMaintain the highest degree of confidentialityWhat's In It For You?Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance *Paid Time Off *401(k) Plan + Company MatchDiscounted Employee MealsMarriott Hotel discounts worldwideCareer Growth – We promote from within!* For full time employees
