Job Description
The Manufacturing Estimator is responsible for creating accurate cost estimates for incoming projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multiple manufacturing operations with a sharp eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering/Estimating
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for contract manufacturing projects based on technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with programming, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with specifications.
  • Prepare process documentation including work instructions, routes, and control plans.
  • Analyze customer drawings, specifications, and technical documents to determine production requirements.
  • Learn to be proficient in the cost processing software to calculate labor, materials, and overhead to develop accurate cost to the customer.
  • Work with purchasing and production to gather current and past cost data.
  • Maintain and update estimates, cots, and records of historical quotes.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC and manual machining experience
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent communication and project management abilities
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office, CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and ERP/MRP systems
  • Experience in process engineering/estimating role within a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Familiarity in CNC programing is a plus
