Position Overview:The behavioral health nursing director provides strategic and operational leadership for nursing services within the behavioral health setting. This role ensures that delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care in alignment with organizaitonal goals, regulatory standards, and best practices in behavioral health. The direcotr oversees nursing staff, develops and implements policies and procedures, promotes staff develpment, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support holistic treatment and recovery. Through effective leadership, the director fosters a therapeutic environment that supports that emotional and psychological well-being of patients while promoting excellence in nursing practice. Specifics:-Position: Director of Behavioral Health-Department: Administration-Location: Gateway Regional Medical Center 2100 Madison Ave. Granite City, IL 62040-Position Status: Full-time Education Qualifications:Required: Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional NursingRequired: Master's Degree in Psychiatric and Mental health nursing (MSN-PMHNP) Or a master's degree with clinical and leadership experience in the behavioral health setting. Certification Qualifications:Required: Current Illinois Nursing LicenseRequired: Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certificationRequired: Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training course (CPI) required within 1 month of hire datePreferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross ACLS) Experience Qualifications:At least 5 years health care experienceMust have 3 years clinical staff nurse experienceMust have at least 2 years management and/or supervisory experience Company Benefits:Competitive salary and performance-based incentivesComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
