A Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Office Manager / Medicaid Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee business office operations while managing Medicaid applications, resident accounts, collections, and insurance-related processes.

This position is ideal for a healthcare administrative professional with strong knowledge of long-term care billing, Medicaid eligibility, and skilled nursing facility business office operations.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily business office operations within the facility
  • Manage Medicaid application processes, pending cases, and renewals
  • Work closely with residents, families, and responsible parties regarding financial matters
  • Monitor resident trust accounts and private pay balances
  • Coordinate insurance verification and billing processes
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all federal and state regulations
  • Follow up on outstanding balances and collections
  • Collaborate with admissions, social services, and facility leadership regarding payer sources and financial eligibility
  • Maintain accurate records and financial reports
  • Assist with audits, surveys, and compliance initiatives
  • Provide excellent customer service and professional communication to residents and families
Qualifications
  • Previous Business Office Manager and/or Medicaid Coordinator experience in a skilled nursing facility required
  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid eligibility and long-term care billing processes
  • Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care insurance plans preferred
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive financial information
  • Proficient computer and administrative skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
