Responsibilities:

  • Inspects construction contracts and activities for water and wastewater facility projects

  • Reviews plans and specifications for constructibility, accuracy, and potential issues

  • Plans, schedules, and conducts comprehensive site inspections

  • Coordinates construction-related system shutdowns and outages with client facilities

  • Prepares detailed inspection reports and maintains thorough daily logs

  • Organizes and updates all project documentation, including photo records

  • Tracks construction progress, field changes, and as-built conditions with precision

  • Develops monthly estimates of completed construction quantities

  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with contractors, consultants, and project owners

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of standard construction specifications, codes, and special standards for water and wastewater facility projects

  • Proficient in construction methods, materials, and equipment used in utility and infrastructure work

  • Strong understanding of soil compaction techniques, density testing procedures, and concrete handling, placement, curing, and sampling practices

  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA Construction Safety Orders and related safety protocols

  • Skilled in maintaining clear, accurate, and organized project records

  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in computer applications and internet-based tools

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 2–5 years of progressive experience in field inspection or related construction work

  • Completion of OSHA 10-hour safety training and other relevant construction certifications

  • Two-year technical or Associate Degree in a related technical field (+)
