Job Summary:

Apopka Health and Rehab is seeking a reliable and experienced Transportation Driver to join our team in Apopka, Florida. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients from one location to another, ensuring a high level of customer service and compassion. Responsibilities:

• Safely transport patients from one location to another, following traffic laws and correctly routing yourself

• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle, including interior and exterior cleaning

• Assist patients with loading and unloading their belongings, as well as assisting with wheelchairs and heavy items

• Ensure the seats are clean and comfortable for all riders

• Arrange vehicle wash and detailing services to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness of the vehicle

• Pick up patients from the place and at the time as requested by facility

• Assist patients into doctors' offices, homes, hospitals, clinics, and facilities

• Answer patient questions about the area and local places of interest

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a driver

• Valid driver's license

• Clean driving record

• Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)

• Familiarity with GPS devices

• Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods

• Ability to lift heavy items and wheelchairs

• Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts

• Polite and professional disposition

• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations

• High school diploma

Additional Requirements:

• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening in accordance with state regulations.
