Project Manager
Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management of large scale/complex crane and rigging projects, from initial customer engagement through to project closeout. This role should be operated with a high level of autonomy and is expected to independently manage multiple projects, develop and maintain customer relationships, and ensure successful project delivery aligned with company standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Lead and manage complex/large scale projects from initial inquiry through completion with minimal oversight.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and field teams on projects.
- Work with the internal team to provide and maintain required crane documentation for Customers.
- Ensure timely completion of quotes with detailed organization of bid documents and attachments.
- Ensure all job site information, rigging requirements, setup details are noted on the job from Field Estimators. Attach files to job and lift plans when applicable.
- Understand in-depth scope of work and complete RFQ/RFP documents for submittals.
- Maintain customer relationships with site visits, office visits, and customer outreach.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with field sales reps and customer contacts.
- Assist in mentor/training and developing Project Specialists and Assistant Project Managers.
- Track job status, schedule, and changes and update internally.
- Collaborate with Dispatch and Invoicing department to ensure correct quantities are billed.
- Proactively track customer PO amounts and attach contract documents to jobs.
- Review job specific company purchase orders and work with Controller to complete Pay Applications as required.
- Track project costs, revenue and profitability
- Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates.
- Promote and support company safety initiatives.
- Occasional site visits or travel as required (typically less than 15%)
- Other duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:.
- Bachelor’s degree or 4-7+ years of equivalent work experience in Construction, Crane Rental, Heavy Equipment, or related industries preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Construction or equipment rental and leasing experience strongly preferred.
- High Level of detail, organization, and problem-solving ability.
- Self-motivated with the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated experience in customer relationship management, client-facing experience preferred.
- Experience in a diverse work environment; ability to connect with key decision makers as well as field operation contacts.
- Proficient in using MS Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail with high level of accuracy.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop or crouch.
- Work environment is well light, air conditioned/heated office environment.
- Primarily office-based with occasional jobsite interaction.
