Location: North Saint Paul, MN
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Opportunity
SEEK Careers/Staffing is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in North Saint Paul, MN to recruit a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk. This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving
- Receive incoming products and enter transactions into the ERP system
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and document non-conforming materials
- Verify packing slips and required documentation
- Stock received materials in designated warehouse locations
- Process and replenish Kanban inventory as needed
Shipping
- Review customer orders and verify product accuracy
- Pick, package, and prepare orders for shipment
- Create shipments using third-party shipping software
- Maintain accurate shipping records within the ERP system
- Coordinate shipments to customers and outside service providers
Inventory Control
- Maintain inventory accuracy using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices
- Perform cycle counts and inventory audits
- Complete material transactions and inventory updates in the ERP system
Communication & Support
- Collaborate with customer service, production, and purchasing teams
- Resolve shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies
- Assist with additional warehouse and materials functions as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous warehouse experience, preferably in Shipping & Receiving
- Strong computer skills, including experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to accurately handle inventory transactions and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
- Forklift certification (preferred, but we are willing to certify the right candidate with strong transferable skills)
- Experience operating a stand-up forklift
- Inventory control and order picking experience
- Manufacturing environment experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and climb ladders throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with moderate noise levels
- Ability to use a computer for extended periods as needed
