Host/Hostess

Position Overview

The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for our guests and plays a key role in setting the tone for the dining experience. We are seeking someone who embodies professionalism, warmth, and a strong sense of hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming first impression
• Manage reservations, call-backs, and guest communication
• Escort guests to tables at an appropriate pace
• Provide general menu information
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand, foyer, and entry area
• Answer phone calls using proper etiquette and assist with reservations
• Ensure messages, notes, or guest inquiries are delivered promptly to management or the appropriate team member
• Ensure business cards, brochures, and displays are stocked neatly and presented tastefully
• Support communication between the host stand, service staff, and management
• Assist with special guest requests and relay guest feedback to management
• Complete all assigned side-work and daily checklists
• Maintain competent food and beverage knowledge to assist with guest questions

Qualifications

• Friendly, polished, and professional demeanor
• Ability to deliver hospitality in a fine dining or high-end sushi environment
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask calmly
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable managing phones and reservation systems
• Open Table experience a plus
• Toast POS experience a plus
• Previous high-volume restaurant experience a plus

Compensation: $17 per hour
