Schedule: Full-Time | 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
About the RoleDeerfield Supportive Living is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused Resident Services Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide non-clinical support that enhances the daily lives of our residents by promoting comfort, independence, and meaningful engagement. Working closely with the nursing team and other departments, you will help ensure residents receive exceptional service while maintaining a warm, welcoming, and supportive community.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist residents with non-clinical daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and choice
Escort residents to meals, activities, appointments, and community events as needed
Assist with meal service, dining room support, and resident hydration throughout the day
Encourage resident participation in activities and social engagement
Help maintain clean, organized resident rooms and common areas in collaboration with housekeeping and nursing teams
Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition, concerns, or needs to the nursing staff
Respond promptly to resident requests and provide excellent customer service
Build positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and team members
Follow community safety procedures, infection control guidelines, and resident confidentiality standards
Perform other duties as assigned to support resident care and community operations
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Compassionate and service-oriented attitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to remain organized and manage multiple responsibilities
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds throughout the shift
Must successfully complete all required background checks and health screenings
Previous experience in supportive living, assisted living, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or customer service
Experience working with older adults
CPR certification (preferred, but not required)
A caring and compassionate approach to resident care
Excellent customer service and communication skills
A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
Strong teamwork and reliability
A commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for residents
