Construction Supervisor

Black Rock Contracting is seeking a Construction Supervisor to lead onsite construction activities in Louisville, KY.

Position Summary

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily jobsite operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. This role partners with project teams and subcontractors to coordinate work, address field issues promptly, and maintain strong communication across stakeholders.

You will be the key onsite leader who translates project goals into actionable daily plans, monitors progress, and supports a high-performing team environment from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities, including work sequencing, crew assignments, and jobsite readiness

• Ensure work is performed safely by enforcing site safety procedures and promoting a safety-first culture

• Monitor progress against project timelines, flag risks early, and support timely issue resolution

• Inspect work quality to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable standards

• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to keep operations aligned and efficiently moving forward

Required Qualifications

• Experience supervising construction projects in a hands-on, onsite capacity

• Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and quality expectations

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and work scope requirements

• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills for directing teams and coordinating with stakeholders

• Commitment to safety practices and ability to enforce safe work behaviors on a jobsite

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with scheduling and jobsite planning practices to support on-time project delivery

• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing day-to-day field workflow

• Proven ability to track progress, communicate updates, and document field activities accurately

• Prior experience working across multiple trades or project types

Compensation

Annual salary: $52,000 - $62,400
