Job Description
RDR Enterprise LLC is seeking a Lead HVAC Technician to deliver reliable heating and cooling solutions for residential and commercial customers.
Position SummaryAs a Lead HVAC Technician, you will perform skilled HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair. You will serve as a go-to resource for technical guidance, helping ensure high-quality workmanship, safe job sites, and strong customer satisfaction.
This is an onsite, full-time role in Crawfordsville, IN, where you will take ownership of assigned work, communicate clearly with customers and team members, and maintain service standards from diagnosis through completion.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead HVAC service calls, including diagnosing system issues and performing repairs and preventative maintenance.
Coordinate job execution, ensuring work is completed correctly, safely, and within established timelines.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment and related components.
Mentor and guide technicians or trainees by sharing best practices and providing on-the-spot technical support.
Maintain accurate documentation for service work, parts used, and customer-facing updates.
Proven experience as an HVAC technician with hands-on skills in repair, installation, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
Ability to read and interpret technical information to diagnose problems and determine effective solutions.
Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and safe handling of tools, equipment, and job sites.
Professional communication skills with customers and team members in an onsite environment.
Prior experience in a lead, supervisory, or mentor role within HVAC service operations.
Experience working with a variety of HVAC and refrigeration makes and models, including troubleshooting complex system issues.
Knowledge of best practices for diagnosing airflow, efficiency, and performance concerns.
A track record of delivering consistent service quality and meeting customer expectations.
Familiarity with maintaining service records and supporting smooth jobsite handoffs.
Hourly rate: $27.00 - $37.00
