Workers Compensation Claims Representative

We are searching for a Workers Compensation Claims Representative to provide onsite support for a well-established workers’ compensation insurance provider. This position is entry-level, temp-to-perm, and pays $17 per hour.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and intake of new workers’ compensation claims, ensuring accurate and complete documentation from the start
• Request and follow up on information from medical providers, injured employees, and insureds via phone, email, fax, and mail
• Handle inbound and outbound calls to gather pertinent medical and claim details
• Create, prepare, and distribute claim forms and correspondence in a clear and timely manner
• Manage and prioritize work assignments to consistently meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) deadlines set by company policy
• Perform accurate mathematical calculations to process payments to claimants, medical providers, and third-party vendors
• Maintain organized, up-to-date claim files and documentation throughout the life of each claim
• Communicate professionally and empathetically with individuals who may be navigating a workplace injury

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in MS Office software, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to the worksite daily
