Department: Impact and Service Delivery
Reports to: Regional Associate Director

Schedule: 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday

Hours: 35 hours per week

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour

Job Summary:

To facilitate services that will positively enhance the quality of life for affordable housing residents. Promotes an environment of cultural appreciation and a commitment to diversity and resident involvement to enhance a safe and positive living environment.

Provide basic case management services and coordinate programs/events aimed at promoting Better Tomorrows’ 5 core focus areas: Health, Wellness and Nutrition; Academic Support, Financial Literacy, Occupational Wellness and Stability, and Social and Community Engagement

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/ Responsibilities:

%CF; Facilitate or coordinate the following programs, activities and social services for senior citizens and people with disabilities, utilizing community resources and agencies:

o Appropriate health and wellness programs and other educational programs to promote physical and mental health, and generate a sense of well-being.

o Occupational Wellness and financial literacy to promote economic stability and self-sufficiency including technical/computer skills programs

o Assist with case management needs to enable the seniors to age in place and provide assistance with people with disabilities.

o Social Engagement events including but not limited to holiday and recreational events, and any other program focused on developing safe and strong communities

o Facilitate educational programs for senior residents utilizing community resources and agencies- including planning and teaching curriculum.

o Social Engagement events including but not limited to Neighborhood watch, holiday events, and any other program focused on developing safe and strong communities

o Additional programs and services based on community needs and compliance

%CF; Engage and develop community partnerships and/or volunteers to facilitate or support any required programming

%CF; Lead any on-site food distribution programs including food banks, hot meals, or any other food donations to ensure all residents have accessible food resources

%CF; Create service goals and plans with residents and support residents to achieve those goals while monitoring progress, including conducting wellness checks

%CF; Develop and utilize resource files for making referrals for residents in need of specific services. Provide follow-up when referrals are made

%CF; Daily use of data systems to track case management progress, demographic information, and monthly program attendance

%CF; Publish and distribute monthly community newsletters and calendars to all residents door-to-door

%CF; Provide great customer service to partner property management company including assisting with helping residents comply with lease requirements

%CF; Follow Healthy Homes Program procedures to ensure resident compliance with housing inspections

%CF; Manage, track, and use site budget by following BT financial procedures %CF; Provide technical assistance to resident associations (if applicable)

%CF; Attend mandatory training/conferences as required by site compliance. This may require overnight stays, but notice will be provided

%CF; Flexibility to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends to accommodate special events

%CF; Perform other duties as assigned by Better Tomorrows’ manager.

Required Skills/Abilities:

%CF; Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and general computer software

%CF; Strong written and verbal communication skills

%CF; Project Planning Skills and Knowledge

%CF; Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

%CF; Knowledge of ETO or similar database experience preferred

Education and Experience:

%CF; Minimum one (1) to three (3) years’ work experience in Social Services or related field

%CF; High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, or related field is preferred

Physical Requirements:

%CF; Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

%CF; Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
