Overnight Baker

NORMAN LOVE CONFECTIONS IS CURRENTLY LOOKING TO ADD AN OVERNIGHT BAKER TO OUR TEAM. THIS IS A FULL-TIME YEAR-ROUND POSITION WITH A COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS PACKAGE. Starting at $17.50 per hour - based on experience.

The Overnight Baker reports to the Overnight Baker Lead. The Overnight Baker Lead will delegate jobs for the day. Daily jobs will vary depending on production needs. Duties can include but are not limited to baking for daily store needs, as well as scaling, mixing, baking, and storing as related to the production of bakery products.

Schedule Expectations:

Overnight Baker should arrive at 9:30 PM and finish by 5:30 AM, with a 30-minute lunch break. We are a 7 day a week operation, with weekend shifts.

The following are essential functions of the job and must be met in order to safely complete the tasks associated with this position.

• The ability to communicate in English (written and verbal).
• The ability to stand for up to eight hours per day.
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• The ability to bend, lift, push, pull and climb.

Customer Service:

• The overall goal is to maintain high-quality products and consistency as per the company standards.

Sales & Financial:

• To ensure proper use and operation of machines to minimize repairs.
• Ensure that production is completed efficiently and correctly to avoid waste.

Business Operations:

• Understands jobs delegated for each day.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the pastry shop.

• Responsible for following FIFO inventory management.
• Responsible for reporting accurate production and dispatch of all bakery items.
• Effectively communicates all equipment issues.

Training & Development:

• Knowledge of the food service industry and safe food handling practices
• Strong Work Ethic
• Ability to always maintain a clean work environment.
• Be a Team player and work well as a team and under pressure.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Must be able to multitask and always be aware of surroundings.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes.
