About the Activities Assistant Role:
As an Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for creating engaging and entertaining activities for our residents, promoting their physical and emotional well-being, and enhancing their overall quality of life. Your duties will include:
• Planning and implementing activities such as games, exercise programs, art classes, and social events
• Collaborating with other staff members to develop and implement individualized activity plans for each resident
• Conducting assessments to identify residents' interests and abilities, and tailoring activities accordingly
• Maintaining accurate records of resident participation and progress
• Participating in staff meetings to discuss resident care and activity updates
Activities Assistant Requirements:
Prior experience in a similar role preferred
Ability to lift, move, and position residents (up to 50 pounds) as needed
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
