Laborer

Black Rock Contracting is seeking a full-time Laborer to support daily jobsite operations in Louisville, KY.

Position Summary

As a Laborer, you will help ensure work sites run safely and efficiently by assisting skilled trades and performing a variety of hands-on tasks. You’ll contribute to job completion through reliable support, strong attention to detail, and a team-first attitude.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical, fast-paced work and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with general jobsite tasks, including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup

• Support crew members with loading/unloading supplies and transporting materials as needed

• Maintain safe work practices and follow site safety procedures at all times

• Help keep work areas organized, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly

• Perform other labor support duties as assigned by supervisors to meet job deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods in an outdoor or jobsite environment

• Willingness to follow all safety rules, procedures, and site instructions

• Strong reliability and punctuality with a commitment to consistent attendance

• Basic understanding of safe manual handling and safe use of common jobsite equipment

• Ability to work effectively with a team and take direction from supervisors

• Ability to work with concrete from start to finish

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior construction, landscaping, or general labor experience

• Familiarity with jobsite safety practices and basic hazard awareness

• Comfort working in varying weather conditions

• Experience supporting skilled trades or assisting on construction projects

Compensation

Hourly rate: $23.00 - $25.00
