Mechanic

Top Cuts Lawncare Solutions, LLC is seeking a full-time Mechanic to support reliable performance across our small equipment fleet in Carthage, MO.

Position Summary

As a Mechanic, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain small engine equipment to ensure dependable operation and minimize downtime. This is an onsite role in Carthage, MO, best suited for a hands-on technician with experience in small engine repair and preventative maintenance.

You will work with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency, using sound troubleshooting skills to keep equipment running and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical issues in small engines and equipment, and perform timely repairs.

• Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative service to extend equipment life.

• Replace worn components, perform adjustments, and ensure correct operation after service.

• Maintain tools and work areas in a safe, organized condition following established procedures.

• Communicate repair status and recommendations to internal team members as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Experience performing small engine repairs or comparable mechanical maintenance work.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and complete repairs accurately.

• Working knowledge of basic mechanical systems (fuel, ignition, lubrication, and related components).

• Commitment to safety practices and proper handling of equipment and tools.

• Ability to work onsite full time and perform hands-on repair tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining outdoor power equipment, lawn equipment, or similar machinery.

• Familiarity with common small engine service practices such as tune-ups, carburetor service, and replacement of standard wear items.

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship and dependable outcomes.

• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced service environment.
