M&A Deal Closer -- Business Acquisitions

Dealonomy
Boerne, TX, US Full Time
60000USD - 90000USD per year

Job Description

Job Description

Run the closing pipeline for a fast-growing M&A platform.

Most small business deals die in the messy middle: slow lenders, missed deadlines, lost paperwork. Dealonomy was built to fix that. We are a technology-driven M&A firm with our own proprietary platform, a national pipeline of businesses in the $1M to $50M revenue range, and a simple model: we only get paid when deals close. That is where you come in.

The Role

You are the operational engine of our closing pipeline. From signed Letter of Intent to funded close, you set timelines, enforce deadlines, coordinate buyers, sellers, lenders, and attorneys, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks. Part project manager, part relationship keeper, part documentation stickler. Every verbal agreement gets written down. Every deadline gets communicated ahead of time. You'll manage the sale of entire businesses, from signed LOI to funded close, working with SBA lenders, M&A attorneys, and buyers financing $1M–$50M acquisitions.

What You'll Do

  • Kick off each deal once terms are accepted and send buyers a clear onboarding package with next steps, contacts, and timelines
  • Set up secure document access and complete deal records within 48 hours
  • Run due diligence: collect and organize documents, manage lender pre-approvals, track commitment letter deadlines
  • Escalate at-risk deals early. Document every material call and decision
  • Route purchase agreements to legal counsel and confirm commission terms are included
  • Document all deal term changes through signed amendments. No verbal changes accepted
  • Host pre-close status calls, confirm wiring instructions in writing, confirm funds and commission at close
  • Build relationships with high-performing lenders and closing attorneys
  • Spot bottlenecks and propose process improvements that scale

Success Looks Like

  • Deals funded and closed every month
  • High percentage of accepted offers reaching a funded close
  • Fast turnaround from signed offer to close
  • Deadlines met without last-minute escalations
  • Complete, accurate deal records

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years in business acquisitions, commercial real estate transactions, SBA lending, or a similar transaction coordination role involving any of the above, including paralegal work.
  • Exceptional written communication. You document everything, clearly and promptly
  • Strong project management. Comfortable running 10 to 20 simultaneous deals at different stages
  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred), DocuSign, Google Drive, and deal room platforms
  • High accountability. You own deadlines, set expectations early, and escalate proactively
  • Bonus: you've personally bought, sold, or helped close on a business
  • Bonus: working knowledge of purchase agreements, business valuation basics, and / or the SBA 7(a) loan process.

Compensation: $60,000 to $90,000, commensurate with experience. Based in Boerne, TX. In person preferred, hybrid and remote considered for the right candidate.
