The Program Administration & Research Associate will work directly with the city to provide administrative, research, documentation, and program development support. This position will play an important role in helping establish, organize, implement, and manage a new program designed to support the City's operational and community needs.


You will have to be highly organized, computer literate, detail-oriented, and capable of conducting research, preparing professional written materials, maintaining records, coordinating information, and assisting with the development and administration of program procedures.


This position requires someone who can work independently while also collaborating with City personnel, stakeholders, community partners, and other involved parties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Assist City leadership and designated personnel with the development, implementation, and administration of a new program.
  • Conduct research on relevant programs, policies, procedures, best practices, regulations, and community resources.
  • Assist in creating program guidelines, procedures, forms, processes, schedules, and other administrative materials.
  • Prepare professional reports, correspondence, presentations, summaries, meeting materials, and other written documents.
  • Enter, organize, and maintain program data using Microsoft Office and other computer-based systems.
  • Assist with tracking program activities, deadlines, participation, performance measures, and outcomes.
  • Coordinate meetings, maintain calendars, prepare agendas, document meeting notes, and track follow-up items.
  • Communicate professionally with City employees, community organizations, vendors, residents, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with developing presentations and informational materials for internal and external audiences.
  • Research potential resources, partnerships, funding opportunities, and other opportunities that may benefit the program.
