Medical Assistant – Pediatric Office

We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and team-oriented Medical Assistant who enjoys working with children and families and takes pride in providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a busy clinical environment and able to work collaboratively with providers and fellow team members.
Position Overview
The Medical Assistant will work closely with our providers and clinical team to support patient care, assist with clinical procedures, maintain accurate medical records, and help ensure the practice runs efficiently each day.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- CMA Certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Experience and knowledge of vaccinations, VFC (Vaccines for Children), and Florida SHOTS required
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced pediatric environment
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with providers and staff in a supportive team environment
- Room patients, obtain and accurately document vital signs, and prepare patients for provider examinations
- Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and clinical procedures
- Administer vaccinations and assist with procedures such as ear cleaning and nebulizer treatments
- Complete accurate EMR documentation and prepare charts for patient visits
- Communicate professionally with pharmacies and parents to clarify prescription-related questions
- Complete, process, and maintain necessary medical forms and documentation
- Review and update patient medical records to ensure information is accurate and current
- Assist with maintaining vaccine inventory and documentation, including VFC and Florida SHOTS requirements
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism when interacting with patients, families, providers, and staff
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times
- Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Physician
