We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant and PreK-3 Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in our infant and preschool program. In this vital role, you will create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity, supports early childhood development, and promotes a love of learning. Your expertise will help children develop foundational skills in literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and physical activity, setting them up for success in their educational journey. Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills.
  • Create an engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and active participation from young children.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful learning space.
  • Conduct assessments of child development progress using standardized testing tools and observational techniques to tailor instruction to individual needs.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development.
  • Incorporate early intervention strategies for children requiring additional support or special education services to promote inclusive learning experiences.
  • Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certifications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom activities, and school-wide initiatives to enhance the overall educational environment.

Skills

  • Extensive experience working with children across preschool through third grade, including toddlers and early learners.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early intervention techniques.
  • Proven classroom management skills with the ability to foster positive behavior and create an inclusive atmosphere for diverse learners.
  • Expertise in literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and social-emotional learning strategies tailored for young children.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement, team collaboration, and conveying instructional goals clearly.
  • Familiarity with special education practices, mandated reporting laws, child welfare policies, and daycare or preschool experience.
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate hands-on activities, standardized testing preparation, and child development instruction.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in early childhood education or childhood development are preferred.
