Compensation: $45,000–$55,000 annually + bonus incentives

About Health and Recovery 88, Inc.

Health and Recovery 88, Inc. is a franchisee of SWTHZ developing 10 locations across the Cleveland, Ohio area. With studios currently open in Ohio City and Strongsville and additional locations opening in the coming months, we're building a high-performing team focused on delivering an exceptional recovery experience to every member.

We're looking for an Assistant Studio Manager who is passionate about people, sales, wellness, and creating an outstanding customer experience.

Position Summary

The Assistant Studio Manager plays a key role in the success of the studio by supporting sales growth, team leadership, and day-to-day operations.

Working closely with the Studio Manager and ownership, you'll help drive membership sales and retention, coach and develop team members, maintain operational standards, and ensure every member receives a consistent, professional, and welcoming experience.

What You'll Do

Sales & Membership Growth —

  • Support the studio in achieving membership, revenue, and retention goals.
  • Help execute sales strategies designed to generate leads, convert prospects, and retain members.
  • Coach team members on relationship-based selling, customer engagement, and SWTHZ products and services.
  • Monitor sales and membership metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Help conduct tours, consultations, and membership conversations when needed.
  • Collaborate with the Studio Manager, Pre-Sales Manager, and marketing team on local outreach and promotional initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with members and prospective members to create long-term loyalty.

Leadership & Team Management —

  • Support the Studio Manager in creating a positive, accountable, high-performance team culture.
  • Lead by example through professionalism, energy, reliability, and exceptional customer service.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, encouragement, and recognition to staff.
  • Help establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance.
  • Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and daily staff assignments.
  • Support employee development and identify opportunities for team members to grow.
  • Step into a leadership role during assigned shifts and ensure the studio operates effectively.

Operational Excellence —

  • Support all day-to-day studio operations.
  • Ensure the studio is clean, organized, safe, and consistently presented according to SWTHZ standards.
  • Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.
  • Follow and reinforce company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Help ensure equipment, suites, common areas, and guest areas are properly maintained.
  • Identify operational challenges and communicate opportunities for improvement.
  • Help create a seamless and memorable experience for every member and guest.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in sales, fitness, wellness, hospitality, retail, or a related customer-focused environment.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success achieving performance or sales goals preferred.
  • Experience in membership-based businesses, fitness, wellness, hospitality, or franchising is a plus.

Education & Certifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • CPR/AED certification required; in-person training will be required.
  • Additional industry-related certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to regularly bend, reach, move, and perform other physical activities associated with studio operations.
