Field Technician

The Field Technician plays a crucial role in sampling, treating, and maintaining water quality to keep customers in compliance. Working primarily within a small team, this position requires a self-motivated individual who can follow directions effectively. The role involves standard daytime shifts with occasional on-call availability and relies on a combination of personal and company-provided tools and equipment. Weekly reports with supervisors, collaborating as a team, and extended on-the-job training are integral components of the role. This job is very weather dependent.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples accurately and efficiently in the field
• Perform field treatment and troubleshooting on site
• Maintain consistent communication with supervisors and interaction with customers
• Record data and submit weekly reports on field activities
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment as required
• Work collaboratively as part of a small team of technicians

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in field technical work
• Valid driver’s license
• MSHA Part 48 New Miner Training – 24-hour surface mine training
• Skills in equipment maintenance and sample collection
• Strong data recording and safety compliance capabilities
• Effective problem-solving and communication skills
• Good time management abilities
