We are a growing, well-established low voltage and fire alarm company based in Brooklyn, NY, providing installation, service, maintenance, and inspections throughout the New York Tri-State area. We take pride in delivering reliable, high-quality service and are looking for a motivated, experienced Service Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and service fire alarm and low voltage systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and system inspections.
  • Program and test fire alarm systems when required.
  • Service access control, CCTV, intercom, nurse call, and other low voltage systems (experience is a plus).
  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Complete service reports accurately and on time.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and explain service findings.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards.
  • Coordinate with office staff and project managers regarding service calls.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience servicing fire alarm and/or low voltage systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of access control, CCTV, intercom, structured cabling, and related systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Quick learner with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Organized, dependable, and punctual.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple service calls.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in various environments.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • OSHA 30, or manufacturer certifications are a plus, but not required.

Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • Monday–Friday
  • Overtime available
  • Occasional emergency or after-hours service may be required
