Electrical Service Technician - Residential

The Electrical Service Technician - Residential is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in residential settings. This role involves installation, system upgrades, and ensuring safety compliance while interacting professionally with customers. The technician works both independently and within small to large team environments, reporting to the Operations Manager, and may occasionally travel to various residential sites for service calls.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical issues in residential systems
• Install new electrical equipment and wiring
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Test electrical equipment for proper operation
• Upgrade existing systems as needed
• Document work performed and maintain service records
• Respond to emergency electrical service requests
• Engage professionally with customers to explain work and resolve concerns

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in residential electrical service
• Valid electrician's license (if required by state)
• Knowledge of residential electrical wiring and safety
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical systems
• Customer service experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Familiarity with hand and power tools
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
