Animal Hospital Receptionist

Job Summary
Immediate opening!Previous Animal Hospital experience highly preferred! Serious inquiries only!! We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team full time. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for pet owners and their animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Willing to train the right person for the job.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
• Handle phone inquiries, providing information about services and answering non medical questions.
• Process patient records and maintain accurate medical files and maintain client confidentiality.
• Assist with medical collection tasks, ensuring timely payment for services rendered.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception and other areas of the hospital.
• Laundry
• Manage inventory of front office supplies and be responsible for putting in an order for low stock.
• Have a friendly and out going personality, and be able to deal with all types of situations that arise.
• Be able to multitask in a fast paced environment.
• Being able to communicate with staff effectively and efficiently.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of basic veterinary practices.
• Experience in medical collection payments is preferred.
• Familiarity with animal care protocols as it aligns with the hospitals policy and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated to complete tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with clients and staff.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Arrive on time and for scheduled work shift.
