Our team is passionate about helping students succeed both academically and emotionally, and we are looking for a School Psychologist who shares that vision.Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and experienced in-person School Psychologist to join our team on a contract basis. As a School Psychologist, you will provide comprehensive psychological services to students, collaborate with educators and families, and contribute to fostering a healthy learning environment. You will work in a school setting, offering evaluation, consultation, intervention, and prevention services that support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.Responsibilities: Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to determine students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).Provide counseling and interventions to support students' emotional and mental health needs.Participate in multidisciplinary teams to address students' academic and behavioral challenges.Offer consultation and training to school personnel on strategies to improve learning environments and student outcomes.Promote positive mental health through prevention programs, crisis intervention, and school-wide initiatives.Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations.Requirements: Eligible for or able to obtain South Carolina Department of Education School Psychologist Certification.Expected Hours per week: 37.5Essential Duties and Responsibilities not limited to:Conducts extensive psychological evaluations of studentsIncrease achievement by assessing barriers to learning and determining the best instructional strategies to improve learningEvaluate eligibility for special education services (within a multidisciplinary team)Support effective individualized instructionCollect data and provide systematic observations for students experiencing challenges in the school setting.Make referrals and participate in the coordination of community support servicesMember of school support teamsParticipates as a crisis team member and provides crisis intervention for students and staff in the event a situation is warrantedStays current on new developments in the field of educationAll other duties assignedQualifications:Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from a NASP-approved/accredited programValid SC state license or state department of education certification as a School Psychologist.
