Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Avir at Hico - Night Shift

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Avir at Hico, a premier long-term care facility in Hico, Texas. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff, ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with facility policies, procedures, and regulations

• Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility

• Create and maintain a calm and positive environment throughout the unit

• Ensure that all personnel, residents, and visitors follow established safety regulations, including fire protection and infection control

• Participate in the comprehensive assessment of the nursing needs of each resident, developing care plans that address their unique needs and goals

• Document all care and interactions with residents in a timely and accurate manner

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing

• Valid State license to practice nursing

• I.V. certification preferred

• Ability to write and speak the English language in an understandable manner

• Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action

• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public

• Ability to lift and transfer a minimum of 50 pounds
