- Supporting the preparation and submission of grant proposals by coordinating requirements, gathering documentation, and working with internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting with management of sponsored research accounts, including budget monitoring, reviewing expenditures, and ensuring appropriate fund usage
- Preparing financial reports, reconciling account activity, and assisting with grant closeout processes
- Reviewing expenses and documentation to ensure compliance with university policies and sponsor requirements
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation for audits and reporting needs
- Partnering with faculty, researchers, finance teams, and administrative staff throughout the grant lifecycle
- Tracking deadlines, reporting requirements, budget updates, and supporting other grant-related activities
- Assisting with process improvements, updating documentation, and supporting training materials as needed
- Have a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Bring experience in grants administration, research administration, higher education, nonprofit, accounting, finance, or related fields
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to review and interpret financial information
- Have experience managing budgets, tracking expenses, reconciling information, or supporting compliance processes
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and can manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, with strong collaboration skills
- Are proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle, or other financial systems is a plus
