What’s a typical day as a Finishing Technician? You’ll be:
  • Operating bead blast, centrifugal, vibratory, and buffing equipment
  • Plugging and masking parts according to prints for mechanical and chemical finishing operations
  • Performing weighing, measuring, and basic maintenance to maintain bath concentrations and equipment
  • Conducting equipment preventive maintenance (PMs) and producing parts with zero defects
  • Reading drawings, following work instructions, and supporting 5S and continuous improvement activities
  • Operating wastewater handling equipment and chemical finishing operations such as Type II passivation, clear coat anodize, and hard coat anodize
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in finishing and/or coating processes (preferred)
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent (must have)
  • Are able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
  • Are willing to work with materials and chemicals used in manufacturing
  • Can read instructions, schematics, and blueprints, and operate various production equipment
  • Possess good hand/eye coordination, manual dexterity, and basic computer skills
  • Can work at a bench height of 37.5" to 42", stand for up to eight hours per day, move about, bend, stoop, use hands, and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted
  • Have reliable and predictable availability for scheduled work hours and overtime
  • Demonstrate the ability to function in a high-performance team environment
