Production Line Lead

Northland Staffing Solutions is looking to hire experienced Production Line Leads to oversee daily operations for our client located in Minneapolis. This is a second shift opportunity working 2:30PM-11PM Monday-Friday with occasional overtime. Our client is a leading Contract Manufacturer working with several Fortune 500 Companies. This pivotal role involves supervising assembly line activities, ensuring safety standards, maintaining product quality, and optimizing production efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with factory operations, and leadership skills to motivate and coordinate team members. Responsibilities of the Production Line Lead:

• Lead and coordinate the assembly line team to meet production targets efficiently and safely
• Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols
• Operate and oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and forklifts as required for assembly tasks
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery, performing basic maintenance or reporting issues promptly
• Train new team members on factory procedures, safety guidelines, and proper use of tools
• Maintain accurate production records, including shift reports and inventory movements in the warehouse
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times within the manufacturing facility
• Support inventory management by coordinating with warehouse staff for material handling and storage
• Foster a positive team environment that encourages productivity, accountability, and continuous learning

Requirements of the Production line Lead:

• Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility or factory environment with assembly line operations
• Mechanical knowledge related to machinery, tools, and general factory equipment
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and warehouse procedures
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and safety regulations
• Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high levels of motivation and discipline
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and process monitoring
• Familiarity with factory safety protocols and the use of mechanical equipment in an industrial setting
