Financial Analyst - Decision Support
Job Description
Financial Analyst will provide financial and operational insights that support strategic decision-making, workforce planning, and business performance. This is a highly visible, business-partnering role that works closely with operational leaders to analyze financial results, labor productivity, and key performance metrics while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and enjoys turning data into actionable business recommendations. This is not a heads-down financial analyst position. The successful candidate will spend significant time onsite with business leaders, helping develop financial models for new lines of business and presenting recommendations and results to the CFO.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and management of detailed and consolidated annual budgets
- Prepare monthly forecasts, budgets, and financial projections
- Analyze and present monthly budget-to-actual variance results and recommendations
- Develop, modify, and maintain financial models to support business decisions and new lines of business
- Prepare monthly and quarterly Board reports and supporting financial analysis
- Track and manage capital investments, including depreciation calculations
- Analyze labor productivity, operating performance, and key financial metrics
- Review and analyze real estate agreements for investor reporting, audit requirements, lender compliance, and related obligations
- Review and analyze monthly and quarterly investor reporting across cash, accrual, and GAAP bases
- Participate in bi-weekly investor meetings and communicate the financial performance of assets under management
- Review annual budgets and prepare ad hoc forecasts and financial analyses
- Monitor cash management and cost control for properties under management
- Prepare short- and long-term cash flow and liquidity analyses
- Partner with operational leaders to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability
- Support various ad hoc financial and operational projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 1–3 years of corporate finance, accounting, FP&A, or financial analysis experience
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
- Experience with Power BI and SQL is highly desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work directly with operational leaders and senior executives
- Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, onsite environment
- Ability to translate complex financial information into clear business recommendations
