Job Overview

Valero is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Gas Station Cashier to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, accurately handle transactions, maintain a clean and organized store environment, and help ensure a positive experience for every customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately.
• Assist customers with fuel purchases, merchandise, and general inquiries.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and merchandise displays.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low-stock items.
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, restrooms, and surrounding store areas.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies.
• Verify IDs for age-restricted products in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Support team members during busy periods and shift transitions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cashier, retail, customer service, or convenience store experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
